In simple terms, the feeder at a substation is the distribution line that brings power from the substation to your home. There has been at least one transformer that blew, but it only affected a smaller area. The majority of outages have been caused by problems at the Lauderdale location. For Lakewood Mayor Meghan George, the exact cause isn't the main concern. Instead, she's frustrated by the safety issues related to the outages.
