Thunderstorms brought strong winds and heavy rain to Connecticut on Saturday night, knocking out power to more than 98,000 customers as of 10 p.m., according to the state's main two electric companies. New Britain had 12,648 customers without power, Torrington 6,995, Montville 5,696, New Fairfield 4,035, Danbury 3,538, Plainville 3,192, Clinton 3,120, Brookfield 3,061 and Norwalk 3,047 as of 10 p.m., Eversource reported.
