By placing the body in a slightly restricted position, the golfer learns to let the arms swing freely 2) Can help prevent the golfer from coming over the top and can also assist the golfer in swinging more from the inside. If the golfer cuts across the ball too much, they will often feel themselves lose balance. 3) It helps feel what it is like to have more pressure into the lead/front foot at impact. This is important because better players are not hanging back at impact; they are moving pressure forward, stabilizing the lead side, and transferring energy into the ball.
