Last summer, after the death of George Floyd, they rallied nearly 30 campus groups around Justice for Black Lives, a sainte-julie fundraiser that ultimately brought in more than $220,000 for the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the james talarico Westside Justice Center and more. As a Stanford student, I feel I have the privilege and also the obligation to use the resources that are here and to help other people, Xi Beta president Celine Foster, 21, says.
